Coinbase Asset Management, in partnership with registered transfer agent Superstate, announced plans to launch the Coinbase Stablecoin Yield Fund (CUSHY), a stablecoin credit offering for institutional investors.该基金预计于今年第二季度推出。
CUSHY will be the first external fund issued using Superstate's new FundOS platform, a turnkey operating system designed for asset managers to tokenize fund shares on blockchain networks including Solana, Ethereum, and soon, Base. According to the announcement, the fund aims to generate yield by lending stablecoins and accessing private credit opportunities within the stablecoin ecosystem.
"With CUSHY, we are fusing the high-velocity efficiency of digital rails with the institutional rigor of traditional credit," said Anthony Bassili, President of Coinbase Asset Management.该基金将由 Northern Trust Hedge Fund Services 管理,并由 Omnium 平台提供支持。
A key feature of the offering is its tokenized share class, which Coinbase stated may be made available for collateralization and transfer "across compliant digital venues." This tokenization, facilitated by FundOS, theoretically enables fund shares to be used onchain—for example, as collateral in decentralized finance (DeFi) lending protocols—and be available for 24/7 trading.
CUSHY 代表着 Coinbase 代币化基金计划的持续扩张。 Late last year, the firm introduced the Bitcoin Yield Fund (USCBYF) for accredited U.S. investors, and last month tapped Apex Group to provide a tokenized share class on Base for that fund.
对于 Superstate 来说,CUSHY 标志着第一个利用其 FundOS 平台的第三方外部基金。 The platform has previously been used to issue Superstate's own funds, including the Short Duration US Government Securities Fund (USTB) and the Crypto Carry Fund (USCC), which together represent over $1 billion in assets under management.
Founded in 2022, Superstate is a Securities and Exchange Commission-registered transfer agent focused on building tokenized investment products and infrastructure.
